Cambodia Academic Angel Project - CAAP

CAAP aims to provide training to develop the necessary life skills for leadership, management and personal growth. It seeks to bring about an improvement in the lives of those we are seeking to help.

During September 2009, One-2-One Charitable Trust recruited several New Zealand volunteers to come to Cambodia to teach. The aim was to build up the capacity of the CTAP team, as well as our volunteers, and staff from partner NGO’s, by providing courses on a range of topics to improve life-skills. The courses included: Computing (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Internet Skills, First Aid, Basic Health, and Basic Accounting.

During the two weeks, about one hundred people participated in the courses. The teachers worked very hard and were rewarded for their efforts with many compliments.

One-2-One plans to run more training courses in the future as we believe that empowering individuals with life-skills is the key to helping them reach their potential in life.

The next courses will be held in November, December and January. More life skills volunteer teachers are sought for future courses, so please contact us for more information if you are interested.
