Dr Poumsen is the Head of Department of Paediatric Dentistry at the Faculty of Odonto-Stomatology in Phnom Penh. She is a committee member of the Cambodian Healthcare Christian Fellowship and is also an elder in her church. Dr Poumsen is one of the 16 dentists who survived Pol Pot and is a well respected member of the Dental Community. We are very fortunate to have her assistance in the Prison Dental Service. Dr Poumsen is the Patron of the One-2-One Charitable Trust, and also President of the Cambodian Society of Paediatric Dentistry.
Dr Callum Durward is a Specialist Paediatric Dentist. He has a very long history in supporting third world dentistry having worked in Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia and East Timor. Prior to moving to Phnom Penh, Dr Durward had been working as the Paediatric Dental Consultant for the Auckland District Health Board and was also on the teaching staff of the Dental Therapy Training Programme at AUT University in Auckland. He is the Chair of the Cambodia Taskforce of the Global Child Dental Health Taskforce, as well as the secretary of the Cambodian Society of Dental Sedation. He is the Executive Director of Dental Faculty of the Cambodia International University as well as the Executive Director of One-2-One Charitable Trust. He brings a wealth of knowledge and contacts.
Huy adds diversity to our team having studied Business Administration (Management) for his undergraduate degree and completed his MBA (Master of Business Administration) program in Management. He is the Cambodia Operations Manager for the Happy Tree Organisation (Hong Kong Charity ) including charge of the House of Rainbow Bridge, an orphanage housing children with HIV/AIDS. He is a member of the Phnom Penh Chinese Christian Church. He is the project co-ordinator of One-2-One Charitable Trust. We appreciate his dedication and commitment to the poor.
Dr Antonia Moa is a dental graduate from the University of Otago, and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. She works as the chief dental officer for an International Medical Assistance Company- International SOS in Cambodia. Prior to this she lived for several years in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Her special interest include Oral Surgery, Pediatric Dentistry and Preventative Dentistry as well as travel and meeting new people. She is an active member of the SmileHigh Club as well as the valued secretary of One-2-One.
Nan joins us from California, USA. She graduated with her Nursing Degree from St Luke’s School of Nursing in San Francisco in 1973. She has worked as a nurse for 37 years,mostly in Maternal/Child Health in Labor and Delivery. She has two grown children who both live in Dallas, Texas. She has traveled to India, Mexico, Central America and most of Europe and now Cambodia. She has always worked in children and youth ministry in her church and also worked weekly in convalescent hospitals to visit the elderly with her dog, Chopper, an Akita. Nan is the One-2-One Family Life Group Co-ordinator and Khairos Home Co-ordinator . She brings much warmth and leadership to One-2-One.
Kimsreang is currently in his 4th year of Dental School at International University, Phnom Penh. He hails from Siem Reap. He previously worked with and NGO called Village Earth for 3 years initially as a computer manager and then later as the Medical and Dental Co-ordinator. He was also involved with another NGO called Cambodian World Family Dental Clinic (CWF) for about 8 months. Now Kimsreang is our Dental Co-ordinator and Leader for the CTAP group of One-2-One. He is on exec representing the volunteer students. He is also the evening manager of Khairos Guest Home. He brings much organised skill, competency and enthusiasm to One-2-One.
Ms Phally is a graduate of the Dental Assistants Programme at the International University, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. She previously worked as the Head Dental Assistant at the Faculty of Odonto-Stomatology Paediatric Dental Department, Phnom Penh. As well as volunteering every Saturday at the Prison, Ms Phally helps at an Orphanage Centre in her free time. She is the One-2-One Dental MOBILE co-ordinator. She is a wonderful big sister to our students volunteers.
Dina is the affable, ever-smiling One-2-One support staff worker everyone turns to when they have a problem. Originally from Kampong Cham, he worked at a guesthouse for a year before joining One-2-One. Currently, he coordinates the transport, food and accommodation for each provincial trip organized by One-2-One, and doubles up as a handyman on many occasions. He volunteers at the prison every Saturday. He is also the day manager of Khairos Guest Home.
Hannah has returned to Phnom Penh after living here with her parents for two years (2004-2006) when they were directors of Asian Outreach. In December she completed her Bachelors degree in Nursing at the Southern Institute of Technology in Imvercargill, New Zealand and committed to serving in Cambodia before starting her career in nursing. She has an amazing command of the Khmer language, reading and speaking. Her passion is discipleship and she has joined One-2-One as support staff under Mr. Huy in the Gospel and Bibles for orphanages program. She is gifted in music, playing the piano and guitar. Hannah has a heart for all cultures and prays that the Lord would open doors for her to serve the nations.
Rebekah was born in Cambodia near the Thai Border. She graduated from the College of Pharmacy, International University in 2009. Rebekah previously worked with the Grace Mission Team from Singapore as a translator. She has done travel to Malaysia, Thailand , Vietnam and the USA for College training.Rebekah is one of our One-2-One support staff members, in charge of medicines for the medical and dental services, she is the health and safety officer and visitors welfare officer. Rebekah also reports on One-2-One activities of MOBILE, MOBILE Swift, and assist with One-2-One general/ministry newsletter production.
Sokea has joined One-2-One as a support staff working under Mr. Huy with our Gospel and Bibles in orphanages program. She has worked along side her father, an independent church pastor in Anlong Veng as the Children’s program coordinator. She was trained by a missionary family for two years to clean and look after orphans and to learn English. She has a special gift for sharing the Gospel with children.
Srorn is one of our One-2-One support staff members. He is an aerobic coach under the CSAP project. Srorn was born in Takeo Province, Cambodia in 1989. He is currently studying at IIC University of Technology, faculty of Business, majoring in Management Hotel and Tourism. Srun has had a long history with gymnastics in Cambodia, being both a competitor and now a coach of both artistic and aerobic gymnastics. He has competed for Cambodia in competitions in Thailand, Vietnam and Macau. Srorn is the brother of Srun (also a One-2-One support staff), and brings great expertise to One-2-One.
Srun is a financing student at the National Institute of Business in Phnom Penh and gets practical experience as a One-2-One support staff and accounting assistant to Mr. Huy. He came to Phnom Penh from the Takeo Province when he was 15 years old to pursue gymnastic training and lived at the Olympic Stadium. He went on to compete for Cambodia and won a silver metal in 2005. He has a real heart for training children and is currently training the children at Happy Tree in artistic gymnastics.
